Because many of our products are custom-made and personalized specifically for each customer, additional policies and restrictions may apply to custom orders.

2. Custom Engraving Orders
All custom engraving orders are produced based on the information, artwork, text, and files submitted by the customer.
Customers are responsible for:
- Verifying spelling, grammar, dates, and artwork accuracy before submitting an order
- Ensuring uploaded logos or designs are owned by them or authorized for use
- Confirming all personalization details are correct at checkout
Trailhead Engraving is not responsible for customer-submitted errors including:
- Misspelled names
- Incorrect dates
- Low-quality uploaded images
- Improper QR code functionality caused by incorrect customer-provided links or files
Once production has started, orders may not be canceled or modified.
3. Artwork & Intellectual Property
By uploading artwork, logos, images, or other content, you confirm that:
- You own the rights to the content, or
- You have permission to use and reproduce the content
Trailhead Engraving reserves the right to refuse any design that:
- Violates copyright or trademark laws
- Contains hateful, threatening, obscene, or unlawful material
- Is deemed inappropriate at our sole discretion
Customers assume all legal responsibility for submitted artwork and content.
4. Product Appearance & Variations
Because engraving is performed on physical materials, slight variations may occur between the website images and the finished product, including:
- Engraving depth
- Material texture
- Color tone
- Alignment
- Natural imperfections in wood, slate, leather, or metal surfaces
These minor variations are considered normal and are not considered defects.
5. Pricing & Payments
All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD).
We reserve the right to:
- Change pricing without notice
- Correct pricing errors
- Cancel orders resulting from incorrect pricing or inventory issues
Payment must be received before production begins unless other arrangements have been approved.
Accepted payment methods are displayed during checkout.
6. Production & Processing Times
Many items are made-to-order. Production times may vary depending on:
- Order volume
- Product complexity
- Material availability
- Seasonal demand
Estimated processing times shown on the website are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.
Trailhead Engraving is not responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers, weather, holidays, or circumstances beyond our control.
7. Shipping
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.
If an order is returned due to:
- Incorrect address
- Failure to collect the package
- Carrier delivery issues caused by customer error
Additional shipping charges may apply for reshipment.
Risk of loss transfers to the customer once the package has been accepted by the shipping carrier.
8. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
Due to the personalized nature of custom engraved products, all custom sales are generally final.
However, if there is an issue caused by our error, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Examples may include:
- Incorrect engraving not matching submitted information
- Wrong product shipped
- Manufacturing defects
We may request photos of the product before approving a replacement or refund.
Non-custom items may be eligible for return at our discretion and may be subject to:
- Restocking fees
- Return shipping costs
- Inspection upon return
Orders canceled after production begins are non-refundable.
9. QR Code Products
For products that include QR codes:
- Customers are responsible for testing their QR code information before submission
- Trailhead Engraving is not responsible for broken links, future URL changes, or third-party platform outages
- Dynamic QR services or external platforms used by the customer remain the customer’s responsibility
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trailhead Engraving shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Lost profits
- Business interruption
- Delayed shipments
- Customer-submitted content errors
Our maximum liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product ordered.
11. Website Use
You agree not to:
- Use the website for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to interfere with website functionality or security
- Submit malicious code or fraudulent transactions
- Copy or reproduce website content without permission
